Off-airport location
Also called off-airport, off-site location
The short answerA rental office outside the airport grounds, usually reached by shuttle bus.
What it means
An off-airport location is a rental branch near the airport but outside it, so customers reach it by the rental company's shuttle or a short transfer. Off-airport companies don't pay the same airport fees as in-terminal ones, though many still pay the airport for shuttle access.
Why it matters
It can lower the price but adds time at both ends. Check where the shuttle leaves from, how often it runs and the branch's opening hours, especially for late flights.
