Also called car category, vehicle class, car group
The short answerThe size and type group a rental is booked in, such as compact automatic, rather than a specific model.
What it means
A car class groups vehicles of similar size, seats, transmission and equipment. You book a class and get any car from it at pickup. Classes are usually described by an ACRISS code and a sample model.
Why it matters
The class sets what you can count on: seats, luggage space and transmission. The model shown is only an example.
