Add car rental to your agency. No build.

Your clients already book flights and hotels with you. Here's how to add the car, from the quickest option to a site under your own brand.

How can a travel agency add car rental?

The short answerThere are three common ways. An affiliate link sends clients to someone else's booking site. A partner portal lets you quote and book cars for your clients yourself and earn partner commission. A white-label booking site puts car rental on your own brand and domain. Most agencies start with a portal and move to their own site once they know what clients book.

The three options side by side

  1. Affiliate link. Quickest to set up. The client books on another company's site, so you don't see the booking or own the relationship.
  2. Partner portal. You log in, quote the trip, book it for the client and track your partner commission. Nothing to build, and the booking stays with your agency.
  3. White-label booking site. Car rental on your own brand and domain, with your prices and your customer data. It takes the most setup. See brokers and travel companies.

What should an advisor check before booking a car for a client?

What's included in the price, the deductible or excess, the deposit and which cards the counter accepts, driver age rules, one-way fees, and the cancellation terms. A good booking tool shows all of it before the booking is made, so there are no surprises at the counter.

How do agent commissions work on car rental?

Usually as a partner commission on each completed rental, paid after the trip. Terms differ by seller, so ask when it's paid, what counts as completed, and what happens on cancellations and changes.

Do I need my own supplier contracts?

Not for an affiliate link or a partner portal: the seller behind it holds the supplier agreements. For your own white-label site you'll usually need them. Our broker guide covers how that works.
